Terms and Conditions

 

Definition

​

Terms and Conditions – means the terms contained in this document and any other document referred to within it.

​

Bookings. Appointment means any event or activity organised and operated through any member of the Achelois Health Limited team

By booking an appointment for you or your child(ren) or service for your school, group or business you agree to accept the following Terms and Conditions. 

Prior to the initial appointment, it is expected that all parties read and sign the Therapeutic Contract for Clinical Hypnotherapy.

 

Achelois Health Limited accepts bookings usually following an initial telephone discussion, once the booking has been completed, it is expected that the appointment will be attended. Achelois Health Limited will send confirmation of your booking via the email address or encrypted message service you have provided. Bookings are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

Cancelation of Appointments. All appointments booked are subject to the right to cancel in writing (by e-mail /encrypted message to us) within seven (7) calendar days from the date that you receive acknowledgment of the booking pursuant to the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

Outside of this seven (7) day period, all bookings confirmed by us are final and non-refundable. However, it may be possible to offer an alternate appointment slot. The latest this appointment may be re-booked would be 24 hours prior to the original appointment. If cancellation is sought in less than this 24 hr period, full payment will be deemed necessary.

 N.B. Achelois Health Limited does not provide emergency or out-of-hours service. Should patients require urgent or immediate intervention the most appropriately placed service is most likely GP, out-of-hours, or A&E/Emergency Department NHS services. In such circumstances, the individual will be signposted to the appropriate services previously stated.

Promotions and Discounts

Achelois Health Limited from time to time offers promotions. In the event that you have been issued with a promotional code, this code must be redeemed and used in accordance with both the terms and conditions of that promotion and these Terms and Conditions.

The Terms and Conditions of the relevant promotional code are obtainable from the description of the treatment you are booking onto. Any code not advertised will be deemed invalid.

Please note, that any misuse of codes will result in your booking being made void.

You may only take advantage of one type of discount, these cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

Payment

Achelois Health Limited accepts cash, cheque, bank transfer, and credit/debit cards as methods of payment. For specific treatments, which are stipulated as continuing over several months, split payment options are available, all other treatments are to be paid for in full each session. Fees are non-negotiable. If for any reason the patient halts treatments during a session, payment, in full, will be expected.

Child Protection

All Achelois Health Limited staff hold current child protection and DBS certification. In the event that a child makes a disclosure or a member of staff believes that the child is suffering from abuse we will act in accordance with our Safeguarding Children Policy, a copy of which is available on request.

Film/Photography

In the unlikely event that photographs are taken, Achelois Health Ltd will seek full consent to take such images and agree to their use. No image or information will be used without full consent and only then to promote services in Achelois Health Limited literature or advertising. No patient details will be included. During online hypnotherapy, no recording, full / part session, or screenshots are to be taken by any means without particular and specific agreement between all parties.  Failure to comply with this may lead to therapy termination and further action.

Achelois Health Limited will hold all personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

Personal Property

Achelois Health Limited cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to any personal belongings whilst attending an Achelois Health Limited appointment.

Health and Safety

A full risk assessment will be carried out before any activity takes place at a new venue. Achelois Health Limited staff hold a current first aid certificate issued by an appropriate body. 

By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are providing consent for Achelois Health Limited staff to administer any and all necessary first aid to you or your child as required at any time.

Achelois Health Limited staff are regulated by The General Standards Hypnotherapy Council (GHSC) and registered practitioners with the General Hypnotherapy Register.

Achelois Health Limited staff also hold Child Protection and DBS certification.

Medical Information

Any medical conditions that any patient may have must be fully disclosed either at the time of booking the appointment and/or at the time of the first clinical assessment/therapy appointment. Any changes should be reported to Achelois Health Limited as soon as possible.

Confidentiality, Consent and Information Sharing.

Achelois Health Limited staff will adhere to the relevant legislation regarding confidentiality. All patient information will be treated as strictly confidential and stored as per Achelois Health Privacy Policy, and rules governing GDPR and Data Protection.

Consent will be sought prior to all treatments commencing. Patients have the right to stop treatment at any time and Achelois Health staff will respect this decision. 

Achelois Health Limited promotes collaborative working in order to promote the health and wellbeing of our patients. In the event that it is necessary to consult with a patient’s GP, medical practitioner, or other relevant agency, consent for this will be sought prior to the communication. If however, a patient presents as being a danger to either themselves or someone else it is incumbent upon Achelois Health Limited to ensure safety is prioritised, If it is deemed necessary and legitimate, contact with other agencies, may in extreme circumstances, be made without prior consent. In the event that this is required, subsequent communication with the patient to inform them of the need to share information will follow. Any information sharing will adhere to accepted guidance and principles.

When this consent pertains to a minor, contact between Achelois Health Limited, parents and other agencies would follow the same process. Should there be any concerns about the safety and welfare of a minor then Achelois Health Limited staff would follow their Safeguarding Children Policy.  

All electronic devices will be password protected and any messaging platform utilised will be encrypted in order to promote confidentiality and data protection.

Liability

Achelois Health Limited has Public Liability insurance with cover provided by Howden Insurance Limited.

Appointment Changes

In the event that Achelois Health Limited has to cancel an appointment for any reason, an alternative appointment at the earliest convenience will be arranged. There will be no charge for the cancelled appointment. 

 

Children and Young People

That is any person aged 18 years or under, Each child will be considered individually regarding their capacity to understand and consent to treatment. If the child is of an age and indicates an accepted level of competence (Gillick Competence) then treatment may be provided. For younger children, parental/guardian consent will be required. Discussion with all parties during the initial appointment will determine if any accompanying parent remains with the minor during the treatment session.

Complaints

Any complaints should be raised with Achelois Health Limited staff as soon as possible as we will endeavour to address your concerns. If the problem is not resolved to your satisfaction then please write to our customer services team at wendy@acheloishealth.co.uk. within 7 days of your appointment.

We take your views and complaints very seriously and will endeavour to resolve your complaint as quickly as possible. Refunds will only be issued if Achelois Health Limited is proven to be in breach of these Terms & Conditions.

Information

The information on this site is updated regularly. However, we hereby exclude any warranties (whether expressed or implied) as to the quality, accuracy, efficacy, completeness, performance, and fitness for a particular purpose of the site.

These Terms and Conditions form the entire agreement between you and Achelois Health Limited.

By booking an appointment/service with Achelois Health Limited you are acknowledging your full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and confirm that you have not relied on any other representation other than those contained within these Terms and Conditions.

If any term within these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable by a competent Court then such term shall be struck out but the remaining terms within these Terms and Conditions shall continue in force to the full extent permitted by law.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
